Web Accessibility
At Lycosa, we try to make all our web sites as accessible to disabled users as we can. I found the report http://www.drc.org.uk/library/webaccessibility.asp very enlightening, and has given me a lot to think about.
Are we doing enough at Lycosa? What could we do better? What are the specific problems that disabled users have with the web sites that we develop?
I am doing some research into screen readers, brail systems and magnifiers for blind or partially sighted people. I would like to know what other systems people use for their particular difficulty. I want all our web sites to be examples of best practice, but automated check systems don't give all the answers. It is clear from the article above that many problems are still faced when using web sites that have complied fully with WC3 recommendations.
